Today is a new day for me. I have added this blog to my new domain: lbmunn.com.

I've been busy this week. A doctor's appointment, my regular hospital appointment, and making appointments for physical therapy and a hearing exam.
Writing-wise I have worked on two short stories and four of my novels.
As well as looking into a publisher I've started looking into the cost of getting an editor. It looks expensive. More than likely I won't have the cash to hire one.
Reading Lucy Snyder's "handbook for writers" Learning a lot from it that I intend to utilize. I'm just about done reading it.
In four weeks it will be Context time again. There is one class I would like to take. It's "Writing Cover Letters & Synopses" $20 for 2 hours. I need to understand those two things.

I submitted "Tehya's Tree" to another agency. They will reply within one to two months.
I've printed off my short story so I can do its finally edit before resending it to the Writer's Digest Short Story Contest.
I'm re-arranging "Alaina's Secret" to see if I can improve the "hook" at the beginning.
Doing my first reading of "Kajika" and correcting as I go.
At some point I will need to invest in a vat of printer ink and reams of paper so I can print off "Alaina's Secret" and "Kajika" to see if I have them together like I want them.
Working on another short story (maybe even two). Still writing book four of the "Flickertail" saga. So I'm busy, busy, busy.
Now I must go an tend to my other chores....dishes, dinner, and folding laundry. Have a good weekend.

I worked on my short story this afternoon.
Via looking at my email it dawned on me that I don't know if people look at my domain or not. So tomorrow I will be trying to figure out if there is a way that I can accomplish this. I plan on tweeting and facebooking reminders that you can read the first chapters of my five books that are in print.
Will tell you more if I am successful with getting a count of some type. Until then...sleep well.

I've been busy working on my short story.
Wednesday - went to the Y for some much needed exercise. Supposedly will help with my arthritis.
Thursday - had my weekly infusion then came home and crashed.
Today - podiatry appointment, a small nap, and crazy me started another short story.
This weekend the plan is to work on several of my writing projects because they have sorely been neglected. Hopefully my pain will stay away and I won't need to take the "heavy-gun" drugs to ease it. Cross your fingers.
That's it for now.

Haven't had time to blog lately. Between doctoring and trying to stay awake I have been short on time. What I have gotten done is starting the polishing of my short story that I have entered in the Writer's Digest short story contest Plus I have been looking at Alaina's Secret to see if I can improve its hook.
Thinking about taking some classes on blogging and marketing sometime down the road.
In the event I haven't heard from the agent I queried about Tehya's tree by the end of this coming week I will query another agent.
So that's what has been going on with me. Have a great week!

I've been fighting a sinus issue and pain. My pain medication makes me sleep, so I've been sleeping a lot.
This past Tuesday I received another rejection....sigh. There is still one out there that I haven't heard from or about....fingers crossed.
I have been reading "Shooting Yourself In The Head For Fun And Profit: A Writer's Survival Guide" by Lucy A. Snyder, a family friend and great author. I'm going to try my hand at short stories and revisit some of my finished novels to see if I can fine tune them in any way. Plus, I might submit some poems. All of this means I must get busy and set a strict schedule for me. Example: Get up earlier; just check e-mail (no facebook during writing hours), and revise/write/revise.
I poked around for new agents for awhile and found a couple but I want to review my novel before I try submitting it again.

Please forgive me for missing a couple of "blog" days,
Last Friday I was looking at agents again, just to see what my options are now.
Sunday most of the afternoon was spent at a three year old's birthday. No writing was attempted.
Wednesday I just wasn't feeling good and spent most of the day in bed.
Today, Friday, I worked on getting a short story together for The Writer's Digest short story contest. Will see what all I'll have to do to get it submitted to them.
That's it for now. Happy reading!

It has been a week since I last blogged...hence two humps...lol!
Sunday I went to the Ohio Theater with my friend Kevin to see "North by Northwest". It had been so long since I had seen that movie that I was surprised at how much I had forgotten. I enjoyed that day completely.
Monday my daughter and I went to my step-daughter's for a visit and to drop off a book written by Lucy A Snyder, "Shooting Yourself in the Head for Fun and Profit: A Writer's Survival Guide". Then we drove around looking at apartment complexes and apartments.
Tuesday I was getting an echocardiogram done. As a result of all this activiy outside in the humidity and heat I became dehydrated and tired. I needed air conditioning, water, and a nap, so that is what I did.
Today I caught up on my emails, tweets, and worked on my fourth book of the Flickertail Saga. The next thing I will do when I leave here will be to catch up on the housework that needs to be done.
This evening I will try to work on my short story so I can submit it to a writing contest.

Today I worked on Sons of Ista Sihu with the help of Coco the cat. She laid down right in the middle of my paper and when I'm on the computer she lays on the keyboard. I sure wish I could teach her how to type.
I sent two queries off to to agents. One was for "Tehya's Tree" and the other for "Alaina's Secret". The agent I sent the query for "Alaina's Secret" that it wasn't right for her. I'll just try someone else.
I've sent tweets out for people to visit this site and to like my facebook page.

I celebrated the 4th of July in the early atternoon with Roberta and friends. I worked on my needlepoint while everyone else talked gaming.
Heather and I picked Lucy up from the airport. She was returning from Vermont.
I was tired so I took a nap while Lucy and Heather visited.
After my nap I was home alone. I checked my emails which took quite awhile. I didn't have the chance to write until yester day. I worked on the chapter summaries of Tehya's Tree so I can submit it to a publishing house.
Today I will be looking at more agents and seeing what they require. If there is time I will work on Sons of...
Hope you all had a safe and fun 4th of July.
p.s. - I sent a query to Victoria Lowes at the Bend Agency for "Alaina's Secret". I sent a query to Wm Clark Agency for "Tehya's Tree".
